Rows

Row actions live in the Edit menu. Open it with + in the bottom bar, or by holding a row number.

Tap a row number to select that row. Round handles sit on its top and bottom edges, in the middle of the screen, and stay there when you scroll sideways. Drag one up or down to take in more rows.

Scroll to the bottom of the table: the last line is + Add row. Tap it and an empty row appears right away, with a cell selected in the column you were in (or the leftmost one on screen). Tap again to add another. Each one is a single Undo.

The new row goes after the last row you can see. If a filter hides it, the message says so and offers Remove filter. The + row isn’t shown in full screen, while a SQL filter is on, or when the free plan’s row limit ends the table.

  • Insert above / Insert below add one blank row next to the selected row.
  • With 2–50 rows selected, they add that many: select 3 rows and the menu says Insert 3 rows above.
  • Insert multiple… opens a sheet: choose Above or Below, pick a number (1 · 5 · 10 · 25 · 50, or type one), and tap the button, which says exactly what it will do.
  • With nothing selected, Add rows… adds rows at the end of the file.

The table stays where it is: the new rows appear where you were looking, and it only scrolls if they would be off screen. The first new row’s cell in the column you were in is selected and ready to type in; if you had whole rows selected, the new rows are selected instead. One Undo in the top bar takes the whole block away.

  1. Select the rows, then choose Move rows in the Edit menu.
  2. The bottom bar changes to Cancel and Move to top.
  3. Tap the row number the rows should go after, or tap Move to top.

Moving isn’t possible while the table is sorted, because the sort decides the order. Clear the sort first.

Select the rows and choose Delete row. They go straight away, and the message that says how many were deleted offers Undo.
