Batch PDF
Batch PDF makes PDFs of many CSV files in one go: one PDF per file, or all of them combined into one.
Start a batch
Section titled “Start a batch”- From Exported files: tap Convert many CSVs to PDF at the top of the list. Then pick the files: tick them in the list, or tap Browse device… to pick files from Files, Drive or anywhere else, several at once. Files you add this way join your file list too. Tap Preview PDF. The first file opens, which can take a moment for a big file the app hasn’t opened before; tap × to stop.
- From your file list: press and hold a file, tick the others, and tap PDF in the bar at the bottom.
A batch takes up to 50 files.
Set it up once
Section titled “Set it up once”The screen is the same as Export PDF: presets, styles, page size, font, layout and header & footer. Everything you set there applies to every file in the batch.
- Above the preview is the file it’s showing, for example 2/5 · sales.csv. Tap ‹ and › to look at the others.
- Tap the file name to see the whole list. Drag a file by its handle to change the order, or tap × to take it out of the batch.
- The header starts as
{file}, so each PDF is headed with its own file name. Change it in Header & footer like any other header.
Each file prints as you left it in the app: hidden columns stay hidden and columns keep their widths. Rows are printed in file order, with no filter. Edits you haven’t written back to the CSV yet are included.
Columns is the one panel that belongs to each file: it says which file it’s for, and the order, bold, alignment and notes you set there are kept for that file.
One PDF per file, or combined
Section titled “One PDF per file, or combined”By default each CSV becomes its own PDF, named after it: sales.csv
becomes sales.pdf. If a PDF with that name already exists, a number is
added.
Turn on Combine into one PDF in the file list to make a single PDF instead. Each file starts on a new page, under its own header and its own header row. Page numbers count through the whole PDF. Tap the name at the top to rename it. A combined PDF holds at most 10,000 pages; past that, turn combining off and make one PDF per file.
Convert
Section titled “Convert”Tap export (top right). A list shows each file waiting, converting, done or failed, and the screen stays on until it’s finished. Stop asks first; PDFs already finished are kept.
When it’s done:
- Share all sends every PDF at once.
- Open shows the PDF, when there is one.
- Show in Export takes you to Exported files, with the new PDFs marked.
- Retry failed converts again only the files that failed. A file that fails is skipped, and the others carry on; in a combined PDF it’s left out, and the result says so.
Free and Pro
Section titled “Free and Pro”Batch PDF is part of Pro. Without Pro you can still set up a batch and see the preview; export shows what Pro includes.
